I'm in the wedding mood + this is and awesome illustration + we need to find a good photographer. Dylan and I have been working on our Save the Dates. We can't wait to get them done, but the problem with having two artists design and illustrate one card is that it will never be finished. There's always one little thing more we can do to improve it and make it better. So um....I guess our guests will get them sometime before the big day....maybe.
We've been looking at alot of art for inspiration us for our save the dates. I love the illustration above. It's from Yasmine Surovec and can be found here. My brain has been reprogrammed to focus on wedding stuffs. So everything I see is WEDDING related. This image made me start thinking about what kind of dress I should get. I've discovered I have no idea. I was never one of those girls who dreamed of her wedding day as a child. You know those little girls that pull out magazine pages and save flowers and ribbons to make the most perfect bedazzled pre-wedding scrapbook. Yah, not me.
Unrelated: Three things I learned about wedding photography today:
1) A photographer with a good artistic eye and skill is expensive. really. expensive.
2) People pay wedding photographers to fly out to destination weddings and cover all their expenses. food. hotel. travel. what? wow!
3) I think in my next life I will become a super bad-assed awesome photographer
